Kenworth Repair in Sacramento

Independent Kenworth service — same PACCAR DNA, same expectations

Kenworth owners are Peterbilt owners’ cousins: people who chose their truck on purpose and expect it treated accordingly. Pro Truck Services is independent — no Kenworth or PACCAR affiliation — and services KWs from T680 linehaul tractors to W900s that are somebody’s pride, in the same bays as the region’s other working iron.

Models we see

T680 and T880 doing modern highway and vocational work, T800s in construction service, W900 classics, and T270/T370 medium-duty trucks.

The work

Shop or on-site

North Highlands bays on the I-80/Watt Avenue corridor, mobile service at your yard, emergency response on the corridors. English and Russian spoken.

Are you a Kenworth dealer?

No — independent, said plainly. Warranty work belongs at the dealer; everything after warranty is exactly what we’re for, with faster scheduling and direct access to the mechanics.

PACCAR MX or Cummins — does it matter to you which my KW runs?

We work on both platforms regularly (MX, Cummins) — tell us the engine when you call and we’ll be ready for its particular personality.

Can you maintain a mixed Kenworth/Peterbilt fleet?

Same corporate parent, heavily shared parts and habits — yes, and one fleet schedule covers both badges.

Engine platforms, and where Kenworth differs from its PACCAR sibling

Kenworth shares PACCAR ownership with Peterbilt, so a T680 or W900 is likely running either a PACCAR MX-13 or a Cummins ISX15 / X15, exactly as its Peterbilt cousin might. Drivetrain service overlaps almost completely; the differences that actually cost time are cab-side — dash architecture, HVAC routing, and where body electrical is run.

Vocational Kenworths — mixers, dumps, and the T880s that do most of the region's heavy work — live a different life from a highway T680. Stop-start duty, PTO hours and dust exposure change what wears first, which is why we would rather set intervals from how the truck is used than from a mileage table.

Aftertreatment work is done here: forced regens, DPF cleaning and replacement, and DEF and SCR repair.
