The trailer is half the combination and gets a tenth of the attention — until a brake violation, a dead light bar, or a door that won’t latch takes it out of service. We repair trailers in the shop, at your dock, and at roadside: the everyday systems that fail, plus the federal inspection each unit needs annually.

What we repair on trailers

• Brakes — linings, drums, chambers, slack adjusters; trailer brakes are the most-cited inspection item on combinations (brake service)
• Air systems — leaks, gladhands, valves, and the pressure-loss problems that ground a loaded trailer
• Lights and wiring — the seven-way, harness chafe, and trailer ABS faults
• Doors, floors, and hardware — roll-up and swing doors, hinges, latches, landing gear
• Suspension and axles — and trailer alignment, the quiet tire-killer

Honest boundary: refrigeration units are their own trade — we service the trailer, and we’ll say plainly when the reefer itself needs a specialist.

Does my trailer really need its own DOT inspection?

Yes — every unit of a combination carries its own periodic inspection obligation. A current tractor pulling an expired trailer is still a violation. (The rules, plainly.)

Can you fix a trailer at the dock while it’s loaded?

Often — lights, air leaks, brakes, and door hardware are classic dock repairs. Anything needing the trailer lifted or unloaded gets the honest call on the phone first.

Do you repair flatbeds, reefers, and dry vans alike?
